After lots of city time, we were ready for some more beach time so spent 4 nights in Seminyak. Dean decided to blow the budget and treat us to a ‘holiday within our holiday’ complete with a butler to bring us poolside cocktails. As soon as we set our eyes on the beach, it became clear why this is a surfers destination – the waves were the biggest we’ve seen and we decided to stick to the pool for swimming.
We both did lots of reading by day and then in the evening we headed out for dinner and drinks. Seminyak is the swanky beach resort on Bali, complete with a Dutch owned champagne bar where we enjoyed a foie gras infused wagyu burger! topped with quails egg and truffle mayonnaise – yum!
Seminyak as wIth much of Bali is full of Australians so was perfect got acclimatising ourselves for our next stop – Melbourne!
